ZapEHR Is Now Oystehr
Why? Well, short answer: we were sued by Zapier. It’s funny because YC Partner Michael Seibel once said if you were successful enough, at some point, you’d get sued, regardless of merits. So great? But it’s still a little ironic that the company that sued us is a YC alum.
How do we turn lemons into lemonade?
Oystehr
Over the last six months Ottehr, our open source front-end EHR, has become an increasingly important part of our strategy. Customers wanted not only back-end services, but a (loosely) coupled, front-end starting point. And we realized there was a disconnect between the ZapEHR and Ottehr branding. So we’ll use this situation as an opportunity to emphasize the connection between Oystehr and Ottehr.
What This Means for You
While our name has changed, our products remain the same. For both new and existing customers, no impact to delivery of our services.
What to Expect
You’ll notice we've transitioned our content over to the new domain, however, our product roadmaps remain the same. We are still releasing an incredible amount of new functionality over the next six months.
